Before there was Mean Girls, there was the 1989 dark comedy Heathers, starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. Now the cult classic hits Fort Lauderdale in a live musical adaptation featuring all your favorite film lines (Corn Nuts, anyone?), as well as music and lyrics by the composers behind Legally Blonde and Reefer Madness. The story centers on Westerberg High, a school terrorized by a trio of sadistic, shoulder-padded teen queens, all named Heather. The brainy, beautiful Veronica Sawyer rejects their ruthless regime for boyfriend J.D., the dangerously sexy new kid who has his own plan for the catty clique.
