From the late 1800s through the 1950s, Paris's infamous Grand Guignol Theatre satisfied the bloodlust of its patrons with its vicious and gory horror stage shows. Celebrities, royalty and ordinary people alike flocked to the Grand Guignol to experience the terror for themselves, sometimes fainting, swooning or fleeing the theater screaming because of the bloody brutality of the shows. Just in time for Halloween, Fort Lauderdale's Infinite Abyss is bringing the horror of this Parisian landmark into the 21st century with Ghosts of the Grand Guignol -- an adaptation of four of the theater's most famous shows. The twisted tales include the story of a girl in an asylum tormented by wicked hags, a badly disfigured lover hell-bent on revenge, a young mother alone in a remote country home and a psychiatrist as insane as his patients.
