Love! Valour! Compassion!
Andrews Living Arts
23 NW 5th Street Fort Lauderdale
At a beautiful country farmhouse in the summer of 1995, eight gay men come together over three holiday weekends -- Memorial Day, the 4th of July and Labor Day. They share romance, anger, laughter and difficult truths. Terrence McNally's Love! Valour! Compassion! unfolds with great humor as the men address revealing questions of gay identity, self-esteem, the threat of AIDS and male love. Fort Lauderdale's Andrews Living Arts Studio revisits the Tony-winning play and its themes of love, friendship, fears, pride and acceptance, which are just as poignant and necessary today.
