In SNL-style comedy Parallel Lives, two Supreme Beings plan the beginning of the world. Once they've decided on the color scheme of the races -- concerned that white people will feel slighted being such a boring color -- they create the sexes. Written by the comedic geniuses behind The Kathy & Mo Show, Kathy Najimy (King of the Hill) and Mo Gaffney (Absolutely Fabulous), Parallel Lives is a tribute to the funny female duos of the past 75 years: Lucy & Ethel, Laverne & Shirley, Carol & Vickie, Gilda & Jane and Amy & Tina. This off-Broadway hit whisks you through an outrageous universe where two actresses play 50 men and women struggling through the common rituals of modern life. This production at The Vanguard in Ft. Lauderdale stars Casey Dressler and Elena Maria Garcia.
